Dimplexs brand new state of the art flame effect.

With virtually no moving parts the Opti-myst is silent in operation and uses state-of-the¬art technology to create the impression of a blazing log fire. There is a fully variable flame and smoke intensity controller and the `Optiglo' glowing log and shimmering ash bed is `lit' by long life dichroic Xenon bulbs so the fire is virtually maintenance-free. The random smoke and flame effect is created by a deceptively simple, but multiple worldwide patented, system that illuminates atomised water stored in an easy refill, concealed water tank. The full effect can be seen across a 180 degree viewing angle.

Like the award winning Dimplex Optiflame collection of fires, the new Opti-myst effect can be lit with the flame and smoke effect only, costing the same as a few light bulbs to run. Heat is also available via a concealed fan heater that delivers 1 kW or 2kW of thermostatically controlled warmth.

Opti-myst is being introduced in four new fires, each with a handy remote control. There are two new freestanding stoves, the traditional style Cardigan and the contemporary Cassington, both of which stand 710mm high. The inset models also offer a choice of classic or contemporary styles - the brass finish Chesham and the chrome effect Chesford. Available Autumn 2008.
