Guide to Fireplace Grates
Grates are frameworks of parallel or latticed bars for blocking an opening. The grates or metal bars are used to hold fuel or food in a fireplace or spruce up the fire. Fireplace grates supply an abundant amount of oxygen that raises the temperature, which in turn burns up more of the pollution that normally would have escaped turning it into heat energy. The grates use heated air jets to ignite full sized seasoned logs in minutes, requiring only newspaper for kindling- if traditional kindling is unavailable.

The grates are often deeply contoured design that helps it to continually lower the burning logs to the grate bottom ember bed. The contoured basket assures that logs do not get tumbled out onto the hearth as they shift and burn. Grates are made for long lasting use in the fireplaces and add class and taste to any fireplace. The scientifically designed fireplace grate that dramatically reduces pollution and increases the efficency of wood burning in a traditional fireplace.
