I have a brick chimmey, do I need a flue,

Hi there, thank you very much for getting in touch with us. In the User Guide for this model it reads:
"Installation into a Brick Chimney:
When the appliance is being installed into a brick chimney there must be sufficient depth behind the appliance to
accommodate any falling debris. This debris collection void should be capable of accommodating up to twelve (12)
litres of volumetric space. The appliance will require a debris collection space behind the firebox of 23mm to achieve
this.
If the product is being installed into a builders opening the chimney must be at least 3 metres in height and
should be swept before installation if it has been used for the burning of solid fuel (e.g. coal or wood). The
chimney must only serve as a flue-way to this appliance and must have no openings to any other room. The
opening should be inspected and any exposed brickwork should be repaired where necessary. The chairbrick (if applicable) should be removed. Ensure that the chimney/flue only serves one fireplace. Remove or
securely fix open and dampers or register plates.
When installing into conventional chimneys or 7” dia.(175mm) flues with an effective height of over5metres
the restrictor baffle supplied may be fitted to increase the efficiency of the appliance. It is mandatory that
the safe clearance of products be checked by performing a smoke match test as described on the product
data label. A restrictor plate is already fitted to the appliance which can be removed to enhance clearance of
combustion products if necessary."

In the black option, is the surround made from metal which has been painted black?
If so, is the paint finish smooth or textured?

Is the heat output 4.2kw and efficency at 87% because i believe a technical engineer from be modern has expalined this model was discontinued in 2018 and now comes at a low heat output and efficency.

Hi Idnaan , according to the spec on the user guide for this product from the Be Modern website, the efficiency and kW output are the same as you have stated above.
If the goods are showing a 48hr delivery, then this is the quickest time we're able to deliver these items. You will be asked to select a delivery date when you're going through the checkout process. The goods will be delivered on this day.
Smaller items such as inset gas fires and electric fires are delivered by a courier. You will be contacted beforehand and a convenient delivery date agreed.
Once your parcel is dispatched, you will receive a text message confirming your delivery date and a tracking link that will keep you updated of your parcel's progress.
This is an all-day ground floor doorstep service. All items must be checked for damage in front of the driver before being signed for. Please contact us immediately in the unlikely event that damage has occurred.
