On these side/top control gas fires, is the ignition control actually located on the side or top (rather than down underneath)? I have a mobility probelm and cannot get at the low-down ignition mechanism on my existing gas fire,

Is there such a thing as a fully remote inset gas fire? I'm looking for my parents who find it difficult to bend down to the existing inset fire which has the controls at the bottom of the fire.
Also I'm not sure, at the moment, of the depth of the fireplace as the existing fire was put in when the house was built, so would need to check about the space available behind. (173 mm between the back of the fire and the wall of the fire chamber as per someone elses question below)
On these side control fires, i know it says in the description section, but just double checking that you can turn the fire on, ignite, adjust the heat level and turn the fire off with that side control ?
