Does this hole in the wall gas fire need a liner when installed over an iron grate to a chimney?

Hi,
Thank you for your enquiry.
It depends if the chimney is in good shape or not. I would get a chimney sweep out to have a look. If it is in a poor condition you would need a 5 inch flue.

Hi Mick, on the manufacturer website it states this model is "SUITABLE FOR CLASS 1 FLUE, SUITABLE FOR CLASS 2
