I’m moving into a town house and at the moment there is no fire within the living room. I was hoping to get one of these installed but there currently is no gas feed. The house does have gas due to having a gas boiler and hob. Could this fire be installed??

Hi thank you for your query the flueless gas fire can be installed as long as you have gas piped to the point of where you require the fire to go. you will need an air vent fitted into the room where the fire is and you will require a gas safe engineer to install this type of fire that has the flueless element to his gas safe qualification. We want to put a tv above the fire. Essentially I imagine that it is not a particularly good idea but one which there may be a way round. Have you any ideas?

No sorry there is no way around this. At the top of the fire there is a vent which will give of heat and some moisture so we do not advise putting a TV above this fire.

Hi there Claire, thank you for getting in touch with us. We would advise you be careful wallpapering around this gas fire. That is because paper is a combustible material, and therefore could singe or set alight if it's too close to the fire, and the heat output the fire gives of. You must always adhere to the specified distances to combustibles provided by the manufacturer. I hope this helps.
