I’m moving into a town house and at the moment there is no fire within the living room. I was hoping to get one of these installed but there currently is no gas feed. The house does have gas due to having a gas boiler and hob. Could this fire be installed??

We want to put a tv above the fire. Essentially I imagine that it is not a particularly good idea but one which there may be a way round. Have you any ideas?

Hi,
Thank you for your enquiry.
No sorry there is no way around this. At the top of the fire there is a vent which will give of heat and some moisture so we do not advise putting a TV above this fire.

Hi there Claire, thank you for getting in touch with us. We would advise you be careful wallpapering around this gas fire. That is because paper is a combustible material, and therefore could singe or set alight if it's too close to the fire, and the heat output the fire gives of. You must always adhere to the specified distances to combustibles provided by the manufacturer. I hope this helps.

How easy is it to convert a traditional gas fire with a marble fireplace to a modern efficient fire? WE dint have a chimney but have a hole in the outer wall.
All the inset fires on this page are suitable for a standard UK fireplace opening, which is 16 x 22 inches. It will need fitting by a registered, gas safe installer - https://www.gassaferegister.co.uk/find-an-engineer
