i have a standard gas fire fitted into a marble insert with marble hearth , would i need to replace the insert with a stone one,or granite, i read some of the he fires can crack the marble because of the heat output

Hi Kevin, for this please could you send a photograph to [email protected] and they should be able to advise! Micro marble may discolour over time but that is quite natural. Thanks and I hope this helps.

Why does Elgin and Hall only offer a 5 year warranty when the industry standard appears to be 15 years? Are Elgin & Hall not confident their products are of the same quality and durability offered by other manufacturers?

Hi Rob, thanks for your question. Warranties and guarantees can vary from product to product rather than their being a set standard. I would imagine Elgin and Hall do have confidence in their products' quality, however this is not something we could really comment on, I suppose you would have to ask the manufacturer directly. If the goods are showing a 48hr delivery, then this is the quickest time we're able to deliver these items. You will be asked to select a delivery date when you're going through the checkout process. The goods will be delivered on this day.
Smaller items such as inset gas fires and electric fires are delivered by a courier. You will be contacted beforehand and a convenient delivery date agreed.
Once your parcel is dispatched, you will receive a text message confirming your delivery date and a tracking link that will keep you updated of your parcel's progress.
