Thanks for your query and our apologies for any confusion.
The Chollerton Edge 16-Inch electric fire has an inset width of approx. 400mm, meaning that it is suitable for a standard 16x22" back panel opening

Can you please tell me if this fire has a side switch or just slots into opening I am replacing an inset fire

Thanks for your query.
The Chollerton Edge 16 inch Inset Electric Fire is operated via remote control and does not have a side switch.
This is made for a standard 16x22" opening and has a depth of 145mm (or 75mm with a spacer fitted). It can simply be slotted into an existing opening or back panel, sizes permitting
