    The Flamerite Austen fire suite is perfect for anyone wanting a traditional cast iron effect fire. With the Austen you don’t even have to have a chimney or flue, it sits against any wall and plugs into the mains for instant Victorian grandeur.

    The Austen's oak effect surround and dark hearth instantly bring a note of opulence to any room.

    Choose from a wooden log or coal effect fire bed which is brought to life by Flamerite's RadiaFlame 3D flame effects shown below. 

    The realistic flame effect features a switchable fuel effect flicker with a choice of coal or logs. It is operated by a manual controls on the fire plus iOS & Android app advanced features (download required) which allow you to operate the fire and all functions from the comfort of your chair using your phone or tablet.

    Now boasting a highly advanced LED flame effect as standard! The flame effect can be enjoyed all year round on its own and when the room requires additional heating, there is a hidden heater with 1kW and 2kW settings.

    In addition to the manual controls on the fire, the Tennyson fire included in this suite has now been updated allowing you to also operate the fire from your mobile phone or tablet. The Flamerite Smart eControl app is easy to use and compatible with iOS & Android devices with advanced features to control your fire.

    Is the fire an inset fire? If so it won't sit flat against a wall
    Thank you for your question.

    This is an electric suite that can simply sit against the wall. It can go flat against a wall and doesn't require any recess.

    HI am looking to replace my existing fire and surround which has an electric switch imbedded in the wall, would I be able to keep this as I don't like electric cables showing. Dose this fire surround need fastening to the wall, if so what with. Do you have your own recommended fitters if so how much would it cost. How long is delivery from ordering and can you choose a specific delivery date, if so is there any extra cots. I live in the hull area. Thank you

    Many thanks for your enquiry with us.

    If you have a fuse spur fitted at the moment an electric can wire the fire directly into this for you.

    Flamerite products are made to order and are delivered within 2 weeks, Flamerite will call you directly to book a delivery date with you nearer the time.

    As for installation, the fireplace can be left freestanding but if you wish to fix it to the wall you can do with some simple mirror bracket.

    We do not have our own fitters but depending on where you are in the Country we maybe able to recommend an installer for you.

This helps protect you and us against fraudulent finance contracts. No money will be taken from your card, the details are only used to check that they are valid and registered to your address.

    Pay on Finance for interest-bearing credit products is available over 12, 24 or 36 months, subject to status. To be eligible to apply for finance, you must be 18 or older, in regular employment and have been a UK resident for more than 3 years. Other conditions may apply and we cannot guarantee that your application will be accepted. Stock will not be allocated until the application has been completed and approved. We reserve the right to withdraw finance on certain products at any time. Pay on Finance is provided through our external partner, V12. If your application is successful you will enter into a Credit Agreement with Secure Trust Bank Plc, who is V12’s parent company.

    Who is eligible to apply for finance?

    Finance is available on orders of £250 or more, placed on our website. This amount includes any additional services and delivery options selected, however does not take into account any promotions, such as cashback.

    You'll need to be:

    • 18 years or older.
    • A UK resident for 3 years or more/Permanent UK resident.
    • Able to make regular repayments by Direct Debit.
    • In regular employment (minimum of 16 hours per week) including self-employment, or in a permanent residence with your spouse/partner who's in regular employment*
    • Have a debit card or credit card in your name and registered to your address and have a bank or building society current account.


    Other conditions may apply and we cannot guarantee that your application will be accepted.

    * If you are retired and receive a pension, or registered disabled and unable to work, V12 Retail Finance may ask for proof of sufficient income.

    How long will it take to apply?

    You should get an instant answer on whether your application for finance has been successful. In some cases, V12 – our 3rd party financial services provider - will need to look at the application in more detail before making their decision.

    What do I need to apply?

    All you need to do is fill out the online form at the payment stage and add an electronic signature. It's important you use your full name and address details and make sure everything is spelt correctly. Please note, this is an online only finance option.

    What happens if my application is turned down?

    Applications may not be accepted for a number of reasons, including mis-typed information, or not meeting the specified requirements. Please note that other conditions may apply and we cannot guarantee that your application will be accepted.

    If your application isn't successful, you can still purchase the item in full via PayPal or with a valid credit or debit card. If your application is declined, it’s usually for one of the following reasons:

    • you do not meet the eligibility criteria;
    • adverse credit reference agency information;
    • your credit score;
    • you are considered to be overcommitted financially; or
    • your existing account performance with other lenders.
