Does a spacer kit just convert a inset fire into a free standing one?Ihave a opening of height 540mm and cant find an inset one that will fit as theyall seem to be 560mm

Hi Yvonne , thank you for getting in touch. So, the spacer kit actually refers more to the depth of the fire, a spacer kit brings the fire forward effectively making it a flat wall fit rather than being recessed into a wall / fireplace chamber.
In terms of height , don't forget it's the inset height you need to look at to go in your opening, so for example this fire has an inset height of 540mm

Please can I ask to confirm that the inset width of this fire is 345mm. The reason being is I am restricted to an opening width of 360mm that’s all. Thank you in advance

The latest details I have on the Pureglow Zara fire say the opening must be 400mm minimum for an inset fire.
I am waiting for Pureglow to confirm the dimensions.
This fire is available with an optional flat wall installation spacer kit, which might be your best option with a non-standard fireplace opening.
Most UK fires are made to fit in a 16-inch opening rather than your 14-inch opening.
