  • Delivery Info

Free 1 Man Delivery – For Full Details Please See Delivery Information

Our "Free Delivery" is a one-man service. The goods will arrive on a lorry that is about the size of a fire engine. (Please let us know in advance if you have restricted access or other local issues that could affect delivery).

The lorry has a tail lift that allows the driver to get the item(s) off the vehicle. The order will be packed and secured onto a pallet and the driver will have a pallet truck. He'll be able to wheel this as close as possible to your property. The pallet truck can only be wheeled over a finished surface so it's not possible to wheel it over a gravelled drive, steps, steep slopes for example. The pallets are normally about 1m wide so this is the minimum width gate they can fit through. Please note that the driver is not insured to unpack or carry the item(s) into your house.

Fitting Kits and Liner Packs might arrive separately by courier delivery on the same day unless specified/requested in advance. An email confirmation will be sent if this is the case.

If the goods are showing 48hr delivery, then this is the quickest time we're able to deliver these items (We do not deliver at weekends). You'll be asked to select a delivery date when purchasing the goods. Please note that if you live offshore these dates do not apply as it will take us slightly longer to get the goods to you and we will contact you directly.

Please note that it is an all-day delivery service which is generally from 9 am – 6 pm Monday to Friday. Delivery Depots, if they have the facility, will text in advance but as the vans do multiple runs a day you might not receive a text until the afternoon if this service is available.

Due to current pallet network pressures mainly due to driver shortages we cannot guarantee delivery on your chosen day but will do our best to communicate this as soon as we are made aware by the carriers.

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE STRONGLY ADVISE THAT YOU DO NOT BOOK ANY CONTRACTORS, PLUMBER’S, OR FITTERS UNTIL YOU HAVE RECEIVED YOUR GOODS AS UNEXPECTED DELAYS CAN OCCUR.

Which finish is shown in the picture? Is it highlighted or full polished? Many thanks,
Question by: Claire Lane on 1 Jan 2023, 10:32
    Hi,

    Thank you for your enquiry.

The one shown in the picture is the highlighted version. Full polished is when the back panel is the same colour as the fire.

    Hope this helps

    Hi
Is this a balanced flue fire?
    Thanks
Question by: Colleen on 28 Jan 2022, 20:40
Hi there Colleen, it is not a balanced flue fire I'm afraid, no. You can find our Balanced Flue Fires here - https://www.direct-fireplaces.com/gas-fires/balanced-flue-and-power-flue-gas-fires.html

    I hope this helps!

How deep would the fake wall need to be in order to have this for decorative purposes?
Question by: Victoria Underwood on 7 Dec 2021, 21:55
Hi Victoria , The inset depth of the crown cast iron inset is 165mm which you'd need to take into account when installing in your fake wall. I hope this helps?
Answer by: Henry Lewis on 13 Dec 2021, 15:37
When measuring the height for cutting a hole in a false chimney breast. Should you allow for the cast iron insert to sit flat on the floor or does it sit on top of the hearth ?
Question by: Andrew on 2 Oct 2021, 17:42
Hi Andrew thanks for getting in touch with us. Sit it on top of the hearth yes, so it will be raised by the size of the hearth plus any bedding too - around 100mm in total. I hope this helps?

Answer by: Henry Lewis on 7 Oct 2021, 12:54
    Hi,

We have just bought this fire, gas version with the surround and everything shown in the picture. Will we be OK mounting a TV in the chimney above the mantle, how hot does the fire get and is there a certain distance the TV should be mounted above the mantle?
Question by: Mike on 27 Apr 2021, 18:29
Hi Mike, thank you for getting in touch with us. Yes you should be absolutely fine mounting the TV above as it is a good distance away from the gas fire itself. Max output for this fire will be quite low, around 3Kw . I hope this helps!

Hi, can you please tell me what the electric fire would be like, I'd it anything like the opti-myst?
    Thank you katie
Question by: Katie jane Donohue on 19 Feb 2021, 15:50
Hi there Katie, thanks very much for getting in touch with us.

This is the fire that is included with the package -

    https://www.percydoughty.com/pd2-electric-fire-jubileelyttoncelticpembrokebolton

It is quite different to the opti-myst really.

    I hope this helps!

What is the heat output for the gas fire please?
Question by: Siobhan on 23 Dec 2020, 08:05
Hi there Siobhan , as this is a fireplace package it is more for decorative use than for heat, and we would estimate about 2.5kW - 3kW of heat, enough to take the chill off a room but not to fully heat it. Thanks and I hope this helps.
Answer by: Henry Lewis on 23 Dec 2020, 14:21
Hi, is it possible to get the black granite hearth made to a larger depth?
    Question by: R Pipkin on 28 Nov 2020, 20:18
    Hi there. Yes it is.

If it is 18" then it would be an additional £25, for anything other than that please call our sales team who can help with the specific nature of your request.

    The number is - 0161 376 4181

Thanks, and I hope this helps you!
